The full AS1067 specification cannot be published here but a table of Lens Classes is below
The AS1067 standard is highly technical with large numbers of equations and test methods. Understanding it would take an expert in optics. It divides sunglasses into categories and specifies the labelling required for each category.
There are two tables in the standard, the first setting out the classes of sunglasses with the light and UV characteristics required and the second which sets out the sunglass usage and the labelling (additional Information) required.
The table below is a compilation of the two tables with the classes, visible light luminous transmittance allowed plus the usage and labelling requirements to enable comparison with visor requirements.
There has been no specification for visors until a proposal to use VESC-8 in 2011
Note the disparity in light transmittance & labelling requirements between visors and sunglass classes 2 & 3.
Car rear windscreen tinting can be down to 35% visible light transmittance.
