HIS Excellency the Governor in Executive Council acting under the provisions of the Road Traffic Act 1974 has been pleased to make the regulations set out in the Schedule hereto.

(7) Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions of this regulation, where, for the purpose of temporarily controlling traffic it is expedient to do so, a member of the Police Force, patrolman or warden, may erect or cause to be erected, signs regulating the parking or standing of vehicles and any sign so erected shall be a valid and effective traffic sign for the purposes of these regulations.
(a) by deleting the word "or" in line five of paragraph (a) ;
(b) by substituting for the passage "1968 ." in line four of paragraph (b) the passage "1968 ; or" ; and
(c) by adding after paragraph (b) the following paragraph :-
(c) be of a type and standard specified in AS 1968-1974 Australian Standard Specification for Protective Helmets for Vehicle. Users published in 1974 by the Standards Association of Australia.
