CONSUMER AFFAIRS ACT 1971
Order

I, Mark Ian Bodycoat, Acting Commissioner for Consumer Affairs in and for the State of Western Australia hereby revoke an order made by Allen Henry Tenger, the then Acting Commissioner for Consumer Affairs, on 25 June 1986 and published in the Government Gazette on 27 June 1986 with respect to the supply Protective helmets for motor cyclists.

I, Mark Ian Bodycoat, Acting Commissioner for Consumer Affairs in and for the State of Western Australia being satisfied that a Consumer Affairs Authority , namely Michael Carter Tate, the then Minister of State for Justice and Consumer Affairs in and for the Commonwealth of Australia has by notice dated 10 December 1990, and published in the Commonwealth Gazette on 19 December 1990, permitted the supply of particular goods to wit protective helmets for motor cyclists subject to certain conditions contained in the notice. Now, I pursuant to the powers vested in me by section 23R(4) of the Consumer Affairs Act permit the supply of a particular class of goods specified in the First Schedule subject to the conditions set out in Schedule Two and Schedule Three.

Division 1: Particulars of Goods

Protective helmets for motor cyclists.

Division 2: The Standard

Australian Standard 1698-1988, 'Protective helmets for Vehicle Users', published by the Standards Association of Australian on 9 May 1988.

Division 3: Variations

The standard specified in Division 2 is varied by:

(i) deleting from clause 4.4 'AS 1609' and inserting 'AS 1609-1981'; and

(ii) deleting clause 8(g).
