The summary omits any older '70's and 80's helmet standards still allowed in some States.

Helmets must comply with AS 1698 or AS/NZS 1698 or UNECE 22.05 (from 1 Feb 2015).

NSW
Helmets must comply with AS1698 or AS/NZS1698 or AS/NZS 1698:2006 and have an identifying mark from a body accredited or approved by JAS-ANZ certifying compliance with an above standard if manufactured after 31/3/11 (5 Feb 2010, 5 Nov 2010) or UNECE 22.05 (from 11/12/15).

ie Certification required - JAS-ANZ CAB Certification Marks required for AS/NZS 1698 helmets

ACT
Helmets must comply with the version of AS1698 or AS/NZS1698 which was current at the time of the helmet was imported or manufactured or UNECE 22.05 (as of 22/12/15) and have an identifying mark certifying compliance with the standard.

ie compliant to an approved standard - and a mark certifying compliance to that standard

Victoria
Helmets must comply with AS1698-1988 or AS/NZS 1698:2006 or UNECE 22.05 (from 6 August 2015) and bear an identifying mark certifying compliance with the standard

Tasmania
Helmets must comply with AS1698 or AS/NZS 1698 or UNECE 22.05 (as of 24/2/16) and bear a label, or similar mark, indicating the helmet was made in compliance with the standard.

South Australia
Helmets must comply with AS1698:1988 or AS/NZS1698:2006 or UNECE 22.05 and bear a relevant certification mark. AS1698-1988 and AS/NZS1698:2006 helmets require a (non existant) prescribed certification mark or a JAS/ANZ certification mark.

ie certification mark required on AS1698 - International approval mark on UNECE 22.05.

SA gazetted approval of UNECE 22.05 helmets on 28th April 2016

Western Australia
Helmets must comply with AS1698:1988, AS/NZS 1698:2006 or UNECE 22.05 and bear a certifying mark, sticker or label as required by the relevant standard.

ie No additional certification required - No JAS-ANZ stickers

WA gazetted approval of UNECE 22.05 helmets on 1/4/16.

No regulations require certification "stickers" to be on the exterior of helmets.
